It’s 38 years since the First Earth Day was organized. It’s time for us all to make a sincere pledge in our own way to make a difference this earth day, the 22nd of April 2008.
Here are some of the things you can do to make a big difference for planet Earth
- Bicycle and/or walk to your work today and spare our environment.
- Use paper instead of plastic.
- Plant a tree.
- Make some noise about global warming with your local government.
- Donate to the Earth Day Network, the group that started the earth day awareness campaign in 1970.
- Replace your incandescent light bulbs with more energy efficient alternatives and make sure to turn off the lights when not required!
This year, the EDN has made a “Call for Climate” to raise awareness about global warming. Every major city is planning on events to mobilize community awareness through volunteer events. See what your city is doing for Earth Day 2008 and join the action!
