Nintendo is forging ahead with its wildly succesful Nintendo Wii game console and has announced new devices and games at the E3 conference.

The new Wii MotionPlus accessory for the Wii Remote™ controller enhances game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Any movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen.

New games and updates announced include Wii Music™ , Animal Crossing® and Wii Sports Resort. These new games integrate with newly announced Wii devices like the Wii MotionPlus controller and WiiSpeak Microphone.

Wii Music makes it easy for people to jam to tunes, even if they don’t know anything about music. Wii Music transforms the Wii Remote and Nunchuk™ controllers into more than 60 different instruments, including a violin, steel drums, electric guitar – even a cowbell.

Scheduled for release in spring 2009, Wii Sports Resort includes new game experiences such as Sword Play, Power Cruising on a water scooter and Disc Dog, along with the new Wii MotionPlus accessory and Wii Remote Jacket.
