Find, Try and Buy Mobile games - Mpowerplayer
The Mpowerplayer platform, with it’s game catalog on popular social networks and mobile game websites, allows users to try applications online on a PC before buying it for their mobile devices. The company has more than 1.5 million users worldwide and has served over 15 million mobile game demos.
“70 percent of online consumers play games in their web browser, but less than 5 percent play games on their mobile phone,” said Michael Powers, CEO of Mpowerplayer. “Every one of these people carries a game console in their pocket, but they need to discover what they can do with it.”
Mpowerplayer already has launched a facebook application, the mobile game arcade where users can search a catalog and play trial versions on their PC in a windows that resembles your mobile device and is powered by Java. Users can also search for popular games from game publishers and mobile carriers.
Mpowerplayer will use the funds to accelerate adoption of its widget-based mobile game catalog on the leading social networks and game-oriented community web sites.
