Amazon’s IMDB now lets you watch free movies!

The announcement also introduces an easy to upload service for folks who own rights for TV shows and videos using Amazon’s withoutabox service. Withoutabox is a division of IMDb that allows filmmakers and film festivals to connect.
Creating a profile for a movie on Withoutabox will generate a link to upload the movie to IMDb WITHIN 24 HOURS of creating the profile. Once the film profile is ready, a user can upload movies to IMDb Theaters.
Free video content on IMDB will be provided by CBS, Hulu, Sony Pictures Television and over 500 independent filmmakers. The video’s feature advertisements as a means of generating revenue. Amazon is expected to be making money as well through a revenue sharing agreement from the content providers. All in all, the announcement is good for online viewers and Amazon!
