The Obama-Biden ticket is continuing strong since last Thursday’s vice presidential debate. The debate clearly belonged to Biden as Palin continued with her folksy ways and choose to avoid answering questions and continued with talking points from her notes. There was lots of winking and references to Joe six pack but nothing substantial on how McCain and Palin plan to solve the issues plaguing the country.

Poll’s conducted since last Thursday have shown the lead widening as American’s feel more confident about Obama handling the economic crisis facing the nation.

According to the Gallup daily poll, Obama now holds a 7 point lead. This is the ninth consecutive Gallup Poll Daily report showing Obama leading by a significant margin, tying Obama’s record frontrunner streak of nine days around the time of the Democratic National Convention in late August and early September. On the Gallup daily poll, Obama led McCain by 5 points before the debate and since then his lead in the polls have widened.

Rasmussen’s daily poll is showing similar numbers, with Obama leading McCain 51% to 44%. It will be interesting to see what stunt McCain pulls next to try and turn public sentiment in his favor. Rumors are, it is going to get dirty as the McCain campaign plans on going negetive on Obama with less than a month left to the presential elections.
