Financial companies are expected to kick off the earning reporting season with more profit declines. This week’s big names are Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (Ticker: LEH)
- Earnings expected on Monday, June 16 at 8:15 am ET
- In pre-earnings announcement, declared expected loss of $2.8 billion and plans to raise $6 billion in fresh capital
- Expected net earnings negative ($0.7 billion)
- Expected to post EPS -$5.15
Goldman Sachs Groups, Inc. (Ticker: GS)
- Earnings expected on Tuesday, June 17th at 11 am ET
- Expected decline in profit (31 percent)
- Expected to post EPS $3.42
Morgan Stanley (Ticker: MS)
- Earnings expected on Wednesday, June 18th at 12 pm ET
- Expected to report 59 percent drop in earnings
- Expected to post EPS $0.92
