TechCrunch is reporting that Microsoft and Yahoo are talking again for some kind of deal pushing Yahoo stocks as high as 23.71. There are conflicting reports of deal being a complete buyout or a search-only deal. It is not clear either if Yahoo would be willing to settle for a price lower than Microsoft’s earlier offer of $33. However, given Yahoo’s stockholders anger and recent flood of Yahoo execs jumping off the ship, Yahoo might have to negotiate a sweeter deal for Microsoft.
