Microsoft to offer iPod for trying Live Search in Australia

Let’s face it. Microsoft’s Live search is very disappointing and the deal with Yahoo is not coming along. So what could Microsoft do to lure web surfers to the live search? Well, the answer for Australian surfers is iPod. You heard it right! Microsoft is offering lucky web surfers Apple’s iPod as prizes for trying Live search. Why not Zune? Well, Microsoft’s answer is Zune is not sold in Australia. But really, who would trade an iPod for a Zune anyways?
The deal is being done through Nine networks partner of Microsoft in Australia. Other prizes include $50 cash, 1 GB flash drive and a pocket PC.
