Are you waiting for iPhone 3G? I certainly am. And the buzz is on as we are just 1 day away from the most talked about phone in recent times.
- iPhone 3G lines being in New York on JULY 7th. That’s FIVE days before the launch.
- Part of the queue in New York is made up of people from an environmental group called The Who Farm trying to tie their own message with the iPhone launch. iPiggyBack!!
- Fans queue up in Asia 2 days before the launch. New Zealanders have sleeping bags
- iPhone is sold out online in UK even before it has been launched.
- O2’s website could not keep up with the demand for the iPhone.
- Game development for iPhone is in progress (along with other softwares)
On the bad side, it seems battery for iPhone 3G is going to be a problem and features missing from the original phone are still missing! “unfortunately, most of the standard cellphone features that were missing from the first iPhone are still missing. There’s still no voice dialing, video recording, copy-and-paste, memory-card slot, Bluetooth stereo audio or phone-to-phone photo sending (MMS).” - according to David Progue from the New York Times. And a replacement battery will run $86.
