Finally Barack Obama is losing the election

Republican presidential candidate John McCain might not be winning the race at this point of time, but Democratic candidate Barack Obama is definitely losing it already. This might sound strange to anyone who is still in awe with his recent speeches but the ground realities as indicated in polls tell a different story.
For the first time in this election, Gallup Poll shows the race tied at exactly 44%, which is pretty astonishing considering just five days ago, Obama had his biggest lead of 9 points with 49-40 split.
In the battleground states, Obama’s support dropped for the third straight week. For the week of July 21-27, Obama’s support in purple state dropped to 45% compared to 47% the week before and 49% two weeks ago.
Obama’s recent overseas trip might have given more ammunition to John McCain but did not change nation’s mood at least in the short term with only 52% saying Obama can handle the job of Commander-in-chief compared to 55% before the trip.
