Obama reversing trend in ‘purple’ states

Obama was falling in ‘purple’ states since mid July as republican’s upped their ante against him. The trend seems to have reversed last week, according to the gallup poll.
Obama now holds 46% support in these states compared to 42% for McCain. However, this is still three points behind Obama’s biggest lead of nine points for the week of July 7-13. Since that week, his support dropped to first 47% for the week of July 14-20 and then to 45 percent for the week of July 21-28.
