Microsoft is cutting the price of its gaming console XBOX 360 yet again. Beginning on Friday, the XBOX 360 Arcade version would sell for $200 making it $50 cheaper than rival Nintendo Wii. Microsoft had dropped prices in July as well.

The XBOX 360 Arcade has been selling for $280. An XBOX 360 with 60 GB of storage will sell for $300, down from $350 and an XBOX 360 Elite would sell for $400, down from $450. The price changes in US are in the wake of price changes in Japan where Microsoft dropped the prices on Monday.

Sony has recently indicated it has no plans of cutting the prices of its console PlayStation 3 that sells for $400 (80 GB version) and $500 (160 GB version). The slight advantage PS3 has is it can be used as Blu-Ray player.
