The first Presidential Debate is on Friday and we still have a lot of confusion on McCain taking part in the debate. After all, he has “suspended” his campaign, and has rushed to the Washington DC, to “help” with the bailout deal.
Assuming he does make it to the debate, I would like him to answer these 10 questions for me - all on Foreign Policy. It should be fairly easy for him - it is his forte.
- Do you still believe Spain is in Latin America? If you are told Spain has moved to Europe, would you meet Spain’s Prime Minister? (Hint: He is not a terrorist).
- How would you feel if someone informed you that contrary to your belief, Iran is not training Al-Qaeda? How would you avoid making such a blunder next time?
- What kind of Vitamins pills should you take to remember that Soviet Union is history and so is Czechoslovakia? Their new names are _____ and _____ respectively. (Bonus Question: Do you are running your campaign in 1988 or 2008?)
- Do you know that the most volatile region in the world is not the border between Iran and Pakistan but Iran and Afghanistan?
- Have you memorized the number of troops in Iraq? If not, how much more time would you need for that? Do you remember how many troops were there before the surge? (Hint: After the promised troop withdrawal by January, the troop level would be same as the pre-surge level)
- Who has been teaching you the differences between Shi’ia and Sunni? Why have you not fired him yet? (Hint: Even Bush had memorized the difference by 2004)
- Do you know that Sudan and Somalia are two different countries? (You will get no credit for invoking other names of Senegal, Serbia or Singapore).
- Can you correctly name the first serious International crisis since Cold War? (Hint: It started in New York City).
- Pakistan has been shooting at the planes and helicopters of US troops all week long. What would you say to Obama now after you made fun of him for during the primaries for “attacking inside Pakistan”?
- With all your experience, judgment and foreign policy expertise, you must know this: WHY DO TERRORISTS HATE US and what would you do to fix it? [Condition: Answer cannot be "They hate our freedom" or any other Bushism of that sort and fixing cannot be "dropping nukes on middle east"]
Thank you!
