EA acquires Rupture - social games network

Electronic Arts, the game publisher and an industry heavyweight in interactive entertainment software a.k.a. video games announced that it has acquired ThreeSF, the company behind Rupture, the social game network.
Detailed press release available here. EA paid around $30 million for the company and will announce further plans for rupture.
